Accept this fact and build a plan that will help you to start moving towards achieving your educational goals.
Remember, you can go slowly. This helps with both the time and money obstacles. Look for a “study buddy” so you can share the up’s and down’s with a friend. This is a tough situation but not impossible! Like so many career dilemmas, the solution may take some time. Of course, start out with a conversation with your boss. You can take a course that will give you qualifying knowledge and then ask you boss to “enrich” your job to expose you to the qualifying experience.
If there is no way for you to gain the experience you need in your current job, you may look for a transfer opportunity where you can attain the experience you are seeking. Be sure to learn everything you can about your new career choice, so you know exactly what experience you will need.
